MTV and Paramount Pictures teamed up with a cappella super group Pentatonix to promote the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. To market the rebooted theatrical franchise for a new audience, MTV commissioned Pentatonix to create an original pop anthem inspired by the upcoming summer blockbuster and shot a highly-stylized co-branded music video. Creative combined elements of the NYC landscape depicted in the film alongside feature music talent and trailer footage. The campaign kicked off digitally with a ‘Making of the Video’ behind-the-scenes featurette. MTV eventized the World Premiere of the music video within an original episode of Wolf Watch on Monday 8/4/14, after which the video took over the Viacom airwaves on a total of 8 different Viacom channels. The video was also pushed out across MTV’s and Pentatonix’s social media accounts, reaching a combined online fanbase of over 8.1 million.
