In the media industry, the only constant is change. And Viacom knows that it is crucially important for its worldwide employees to understand the business so they can move the company forward. To help bring everyone together around its shared vision, strategies, values and brands, Viacom launched its Spark initiative globally in February 2019. Taking place in over 40 locations around the world, Spark featured live and streamed speakers, panels, demonstrations, workshops and more, all designed to equip, engage and inspire employees. To get Viacom’s global employees excited to participate before, during and after the event, a unique brand identity and global campaign were created and launched. They utilized simple yet bold graphics and clear, consistent messaging across hundreds of assets, including a first-of-its-kind global AR activation, motion and environmental graphics, a website that served as a central hub of information and sign-up for the events, event graphics and much, much more. And to ensure that the campaign ran worldwide, assets and guides were supplied to global offices so that they could cohesively promote their own local events. The results? Over 6,200 employees got equipped, engaged and inspired by attending sessions, watching live streams, taking part in workshops and connecting with leaders and one another.
