Combine the Physical and Digital

Create a website / app / experience for how you can combine the physical product with the digital world.

  1. Background

As a big fan of music, I’ve always appreciated how music not only expresses what the artist has to say but it also represents a piece of memory, a sentiment, or a period of time when listening to it. People send their loved ones records and mixtapes of the music they like. However, nowadays we’re used to streaming music online, as a result, music doesn’t exist physically as a sentimental gift that often anymore.

  1. Solution

 Leveraging SoundCloud as a platform of artists sharing records and audience listening to their pieces, I’m creating a web-based campaign called “Give the Gift of Music”, where people can select songs from all the artists on SoundCloud, create a mix of their own, buy and send a physical copy of the mixtape to their loved ones. The music on the mixtape can be accessed online with an access code, and the physical mixtape acts as the object one could treasure forever.
