Project Title: Alebrije
Client or Class Name: Universidad La Salle México - www.lasalle.mx
This is a school project in which the objective is to create an under brand of Larin, 100% Mexican including four different flavors: tequila, baileys, brandy and red wine. It is in this way that Alebrije, dark chocolate, is born.
Being Mexican helped me choose the name of Alebrije and by doing research I discovered that the “alebrijes” are graphics 100% Mexican including everything from the technique to the colors.
The alebrije is a craft created by Pedro Linares Lopez in 1936, made with a special carton board technique and painted with a wide and vibrant color scheme. In general the alebrijes are creatures formed with physical elements from different animals, a combination that includes not only fantasy but realism too.
