2019 Media & Interactive Design Award Results

Entries came from 39 countries, 2 Canadian Provinces and 32 U.S. States. Only 39% of this year’s entries won an award reflecting the competitive and excellent design submitted this year. The awards break down like this – Gold – 4%, Silver – 14%, Bronze – 21%. 2 Best in Show Awards were given – 1 in the Professional categories and 1 in the Student categories.


  • Viacom Catalyst brought home the Best in Show Award for Animated Film entry Avi at the Beach.
  • Amanda Wennberg from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco won Student Best in Show for Female Figures Ambient Media entry.
  • Our top winner was Viacom Catalyst in New York with 13 awards – 1 Best in Show, 1 Gold, 4 Silver & 7 Bronze.

Winners will be featured in our printed Design Annual, online and in the Creativity Exhibition.
