Project Title: The Fame Phenomenon Exhibit
Client or Class Name: Senior Thesis - www.drexel.edu/westphal/undergraduate/VSCM/

Intended Audience: General public (teens to adults)

The purpose of this exhibit is to, not only tell people that fame has changed, but show them. I wanted to create different atmospheres that put the audience in celebrities’ shoes to get a more first hand experience. That way, they can make an educated decision on what the price of fame is and if it’s actually worth it.

I used red as the primary color throughout the exhibit. Red speaks to the obvious red carpet but it also represents glamour, mystery, high alert, and blood. In certain areas, I treated walls with the red to be reminiscent of a dark room. I changed the tone of red as you walk through to depict the change of fame through color. It goes from being dark and ominous to bright and jarring. I also created my own line drawings for each section title to give viewers a visual cue of where they are. They also serve as another form of showing change with the drawings going from ornate and delicate to simple and geometric.
