    The psychosocial impact inflammatory acne has on a patient is sometimes difficult for dermatologists to fully realize. Patients often feel like their acne is all people see—it’s like a neon sign screaming for attention, but the real person is overshadowed by the acne. For this reason, it was important to create a campaign that showed dermatologists how patients often see themselves—with artificial lightbulbs that glare from their faces, painful, pulsing, and persistent.

    For too long, inflammatory acne has outshined the faces of teens and adults. The Epiduo Forte Gel campaign utilizes arresting visuals to call serious attention to the psychological impact of moderate to severe inflammatory acne. Instead of the solution-based smiling faces dermatologists are accustomed to seeing in acne campaigns, we focused on the moment of need—the patient suffering with moderate to severe inflammatory acne—so that dermatologists would be able to connect with their patients and be compelled to find the right solution.

    With this campaign, dermatologists can now see why patients hide from life and how a powerful treatment like Epiduo Forte Gel can dial down the distracting glow of inflammatory acne. Bringing people out of the shadows and letting their inner light shine through.
