"The help save the fish in the student section was also chosen because of the concept. It's one thing to try and raise money for a worthy cause... we are inundated with worthy projects, but this one also involves the actions of the viewer; plus it is a positive action! As the viewers drop coins down into the fund raising container the water rises. They won't necessarily see the water rise unless they drop in several coins, but if the container is placed in a busy area, such as a convenience store, viewers can see the water rising as other people drop coins in the container. People want to cover the fish in water (a positive action to the problem) so they drop in their coins."
